ECU Walk-On Who Excelled Academically Off the Court
Justice Obasohan, a 6-5 guard for East Carolina Pirates from 2015-19, was a dedicated walk-on who played in 38 games across four seasons, averaging 0.8 PPG, 0.9 RPG, and 6.2 MPG while scoring 31 career points, grabbing 34 rebounds, and blocking 13 shots (per ECU Pirates bio). His true differentiator? Balancing D1 basketball with elite academics—he graduated ECU and pursued medicine at University of Miami Miller School, embodying relentless work ethic and leadership as a senior role model (American Athletic Conference, ECU News). Ideal for teams valuing character over flash.
