Reed Boyd brings local toughness and red-zone upside for McNeese
Reed Boyd, a McNeese junior tight end from Lake Charles, has shown steady growth and a knack for timely plays: in the 2024 season he posted 2 catches for 8 yards, then followed with a bigger 2025 moment by scoring his first career touchdown on a 5-yard catch in a win over No. 19 Lamar. At 6-foot-1, 245 pounds, he looks like a compact, physical TE who can handle traffic, compete through contact, and deliver when the game tightens up. He’s a useful fit for teams that value toughness, local pride, and clutch production over flashy volume.
