polished transfer righty giving SDSU a steady late-inning boost
In the 2026 season, McKnight has been a valuable two-way pitching piece for San Diego State, posting a 5-2 record, 4.85 ERA, 53 strikeouts, and two saves across 59 1/3 innings, while earning Mountain West Pitcher of the Week honors on April 27 after a dominant stretch. His calling card is versatility: he can start or relieve, misses bats, and has shown poise in pressure spots, which is exactly why SDSU trusted him in both rotation and bullpen roles. A former Arizona transfer, he looks like a fit for teams needing a competitive, strike-throwing righty who can handle meaningful innings without blinking.
