Alex Caouette brings proven pedigree and captain-level poise to Miami (OH) pitching staff
Caouette is a junior pitcher for Miami (OH) whose value is more about upside and makeup than current college volume: she did not appear in 2025 after transferring from Western Michigan, where she had seen action in one game, but her prep and travel résumé was strong, including a tied strikeout record, All-Star and All-League honors, team MVP, and four years as a captain. She was also a nationally ranked pitching recruit, which suggests a legitimate arm with development runway rather than a finished product. [1][3][8]
