Big-body Aggie DT with four-star upside, but 2026 is on ice
Chace Sims arrived at Texas A&M as a highly touted interior lineman — a four-star recruit ranked as high as the No. 227 overall player and No. 23 defensive lineman in the 2025 class — and his best traits are a quick first step, high motor, and real disruptive juice behind the line of scrimmage. In high school, he piled up backfield havoc, including 28.5 tackles for loss and 11 sacks as a senior. The catch: he did not play in 2025, and Texas A&M announced in August 2026 that he will miss the entire 2026 season with injury, so his long-term fit is still about future development rather than immediate snaps.
