Hoage is a high-end, proven linebacker/defensive front playmaker who has already shown impact production: in 2024 at Northern Colorado he made 38 tackles in nine games, and his 2021 season included 70 tackles, 22 tackles for loss and 10.5 sacks, earning multiple All-America honors. He also battled through ACL-related missed seasons in 2022 and 2023, so his return to active form matters.
