Gavin Guidry emerged as a versatile right-handed arm for LSU, pairing a live fastball with a competitive, attack-the-zone mentality that translated into swing-and-miss production when he was right. In 2024, he posted a 2.59 ERA with 36 strikeouts in limited work, and by 2026 he had shown both high-end bat-missing ability and some volatility, finishing with 59 strikeouts in 43.2 innings but a 6.39 ERA. He was a highly regarded Louisiana recruit and, when sharp, looked like a pitcher who could fit a bullpen that values intensity, strikeouts, and upside.
