Drafted arm with Cape Cod breakout, but elbow surgery muted 2026
Oshinskie’s appeal is obvious: a 6-foot-3 right-hander with real bat-missing stuff, highlighted by a 2025 Cape Cod League run where he posted a 1.93 ERA, 38 strikeouts, and just seven walks in 28.0 innings. Brown notes he struck out 27 in 16.1 innings in 2025, and multiple reports say his fastball sits in the low 90s and can touch 95 mph. The catch: he missed the entire 2026 season after elbow surgery, so the upside is loud, but the immediate workload risk is very real.
