Sam Anderson brings two-way athleticism and high-upside special-teams juice to NDSU
In the 2025 season, Sam Anderson was a redshirt freshman linebacker for North Dakota State and appeared in one game, so the résumé is still small — but the traits pop: he’s a 6-3, 204-pound former high-school captain who played safety, quarterback, running back, and receiver, which screams versatility and football feel. He also owned team offensive MVP honors in high school after producing more than 650 all-purpose yards and seven touchdowns, suggesting toughness, competitiveness, and enough athletic burst to matter in coverage and on special teams.
