Khalil Walker is New Mexico’s steady table-setter with extra-base pop
In the 2025 season, Walker hit .399 with a .457 OBP, .591 slugging, 16 doubles, five triples, four homers, and 34 RBIs, while also grading as a reliable center fielder with a .993 fielding percentage. He followed that with a strong 2026 conference season, batting .326 in Mountain West play and earning Second Team All-MW honors again. The differentiator: he’s not just a hit tool guy—he combines contact, gap power, speed on the bases, and top-tier consistency, making him a high-floor fit for a team that wants production without sacrificing defense.
