Tommy Turner gives Rhode Island a power righty with late-inning trust
In the 2026 season, Tommy Turner has worked as a reliable right-handed arm for Rhode Island, posting a 4.09 ERA with 25 strikeouts in 22.0 innings and earning a save in the A-10 championship run. He’s a 5-foot-11, 202-pound redshirt sophomore from Coventry, and the compelling part is the profile beyond the box score: he’s a homegrown competitor with a multi-sport background, a reputation for toughness, and enough arm talent to miss bats in relief. Good fit for a bullpen that wants intensity and strike-throwing swagger.
