In the 2024-25 season, Maya Whitehead earned Collegiate Conference of the South Rookie of the Week honors, a strong sign she was impacting games beyond the box score for Wesleyan College.[10] The 5-foot-1 guard is listed as a sophomore for 2025-26, and her game appears built on quickness, shot-making flashes, and grit in a smaller, guard-heavy role.[1][3][6] She’d be a good fit for a team that values pace, toughness, and a player who can punch above her size without needing the offense to run through her.[4][8]
