Shifty, high-upside freshman WR with championship production
Camdon Pitchford enters West Virginia as a compact, quick-twitch receiver with proven production: in his senior year at Columbus High, he posted 87 catches for 1,205 yards and 21 touchdowns while helping lead a 15-1 state championship team. He also contributed as a punt returner and was named to the Texas High School Coaches Association AAA Super Elite Team, which points to playmaking value beyond raw size. At 5-9 and 169 pounds, he looks like a slot/special-teams fit more than a jump-ball target, and reports have projected him as a developmental redshirt candidate early on.[2][5][10]
