Emily Chiarella is FGCU’s high-contact spark plug with speed, polish, and winning experience
Chiarella looks like a classic table-setter: in 2025 she led FGCU in batting average (.346) and singles (54), added 24 stolen bases, and earned Second Team All-ASUN honors, while coach Deiros called her “one of the smartest offensive players” he had recruited. The left-handed OF brings contact, baserunning pressure, and dependable defense, and her track record shows she can stay on the field and produce in big moments, including a 100th career hit and strong ASUN Tournament play. She fits best on a team that values speed, instincts, and consistent on-base pressure over power.
