Nate Pollard

7-foot Rice big man with defensive upside and touch around the rim

Nate Pollard is a 7-1 center whose game is built on size, rim protection, and low-usage efficiency; in his Rice freshman season, he played 25 games with one start and produced 17 points, 28 rebounds, and five blocks while shooting 42.9% from the field, and one report later highlighted his “unique defensive presence,” good hands, and interior scoring feel. He profiles as a fit for teams needing length, shot deterrence, and a developmental big who can make a quiet impact without demanding touches.
