Jacob Hines gives Central Connecticut a proven mound arm with solid 2024 production
Jacob Hines is a right-handed pitcher whose most recent documented college season showed steady strike-throwing and run prevention, going 1-0 with a 2.75 ERA over 19.2 innings in 2024 while striking out 16 batters. He looks like a useful fit for a staff that wants a compact, dependable arm rather than a pure power headline, and his 6-foot, 175-pound frame suggests room for continued development. Publicly available recent data on his Central Connecticut role is limited, so the best read is that he profiles as a depth-to-impact arm if his command and efficiency carry over.
