Jaylen Mason brings dual-threat juice to Kansas’ QB room
Jaylen Mason is a 2026 freshman quarterback for Kansas who arrives as a local 3-star recruit with a compact, dual-threat profile and real production: in 2025 at Wichita Northwest, he passed for 1,944 yards and 21 touchdowns while adding 492 rushing yards and two scores. His calling card is balance—enough arm talent to stretch defenses, plus mobility that keeps plays alive and adds sneaky value in the red zone. He looks like a fit for an offense that values quarterback run threat, poise, and developmental upside.
