Manhattan’s 6-5 freshman guard brings size, IQ, and upside
Asier Miguel is a freshman guard at Manhattan whose current role is modest, but his profile stands out for size, European fundamentals, and basketball IQ rather than raw box-score production.[1][4][6] In the 2025-26 season, he has been a low-usage contributor, which suggests he is still adjusting to the college game, but Manhattan’s staff specifically highlighted his fit in their system as a 6-5 guard/forward with the decision-making and fundamentals to matter over time.[2][6] He looks like a good fit for a team that values disciplined, versatile perimeter play and long-term development over instant offense.[4][6]
