Special-teams-ready depth with local roots and upside
Young-Blackgoat enters 2026 as a 6-foot, 180-pound sophomore DB for Northern Arizona after appearing in nine games as a freshman, mostly on special teams, and logging four tackles, all solo, with two more in the finale at Weber State. The early read is a high-motor, reliable depth piece rather than a stat-stuffer: his value is in doing the dirty work, staying active in coverage/support roles, and bringing program familiarity as a Flagstaff native. He looks like a fit for teams that want physical, dependable back-end depth with developmental upside rather than an immediate headline-maker.
