Dawson Johnson brings real TE mismatch juice to Tulane
Dawson Johnson arrives at Tulane in the 2026 season as a 6-foot-3, 232-pound redshirt sophomore transfer with proven production: in the 2025 season at Old Dominion, he caught 10 passes for 99 yards and a touchdown, and Tulane’s roster notes highlight his high school pedigree and multi-school path. He profiles as a versatile hybrid tight end who can line up inline, in the slot, or as an H-back, with reliable hands and enough blocking to stay on the field. For a team, that combo means immediate depth plus sneaky red-zone upside.
