USF’s young interior disruptor with upside to grow into a run-stuffing force
Richard Scott III enters the 2026 season as a 6-foot-4, 270-pound sophomore defensive tackle for South Florida, bringing length, frame growth, and a disruptive high-school résumé that included 17 tackles, 5.0 sacks, and 9.0 tackles for loss at St. Thomas Aquinas. His 2025 college production was modest, but the appeal is the tool set: power at the point, room to add more impact as he matures, and the kind of developmental ceiling that can fit a defense looking for interior size and upside. The key question is snap-to-snap consistency, but the physical traits are real.
