Experienced UCLA relief arm with real strikeout bite
In the 2024 season, Aldrich returned from an early-year injury and gave UCLA a veteran bullpen option, striking out 4 in 5.0 innings across 3 appearances. He’s a 6-foot-2 right-hander with a track record of missing bats—most notably 38 strikeouts in 38.2 innings during the 2023 season—and he’s been used heavily out of the bullpen, which says coaches trust his feel in leverage spots. The appeal is clear: competitive, experienced, and capable of handling pressure; the question is durability, since injury has interrupted his availability.
