High-upside Indiana righty with top-100 pedigree and power stuff
In the 2026 season, Blane Metz redshirted his first year at Indiana, but he still arrives with real intrigue: Indiana labeled him a high-powered arm, and recruiting outlets pegged him as the No. 47 overall prospect and No. 9 right-handed pitcher in the 2025 class. The why-care here is obvious: at 6-foot-3, 221 pounds, he looks like a classic big-bodied righty with rotation upside, and reports point to above-average offspeed weapons plus a fastball that has reached 93 mph. If you want a developmental arm with impact potential, Metz fits the profile.
