William Tarpley Brings Left-Handed Upside and Recruiting-Track Velocity
Tarpley stands out as a **left-handed pitcher** with a **projectable 6-3, 215-pound frame** and a reported **91 mph fastball** in Perfect Game evaluations, which gives him the kind of arm-side matchup value coaches covet from the left side.[2][6] He also showed strong high-school production at Pinson Valley, where he helped fuel a **12-2** senior season and a **state top-5** team ranking, suggesting he has competed in winning environments.[4] The main reason to care: he looks like a durable, developing LHP with usable velocity and room to sharpen pitch quality, though public college-level stat detail on his current Alabama A&M role is limited in the available sources.[2][4][6]
