Furman's Steady Senior DE with Untapped Potential
Quay Rush, Furman's 6'0", 242-lb senior defensive end from Clemmons, NC, transitioned from linebacker to DE, bulking up from 205 lbs as a freshman, signaling raw athleticism and adaptability in the trenches[4][9]. With no recorded stats through 2025—despite a debut in 2023's opener—his quiet intensity and academic discipline (SoCon Honor Roll) mark him as a high-motor, coachable prospect who thrives in Furman's gritty Southern Conference scheme[1][4]. Ideal for teams seeking an undersized but relentless pass-rusher with leadership upside; watch for breakout in 2026[8].
