Sawyer Simmons brings a live arm, but the 2026 line still needs polish
In the 2026 season, Sawyer Simmons is a redshirt sophomore pitcher for Southeastern Louisiana at 6-foot-2, 185 pounds, with a right-handed profile and enough size to project as a durable arm[1]. The available 2026 stats show limited usage and an ERA of 10.12 in the team stat ledger, so the story right now is more about raw tools and future upside than finished product[2]. He looks like a watch-list arm for teams that value development, but he is not yet a plug-and-play rotation answer[1][2].
