Mercyhurst freshman Mia Zubovic brings versatile power-defense value behind the plate and in the corners
Mia Zubovic is a **versatile freshman** for Mercyhurst, listed at **C/3B/1B**, which gives a staff flexible lineup and defensive options if it needs a reliable multi-position piece.[3] In the 2026 season, she has appeared in 16 games, posted a .156 average with 5 hits in 32 at-bats, and drawn 6 walks, showing she can still contribute even while the bat develops.[1] What makes her interesting is the combination of catcher's toughness, corner-infield coverage, and room to grow offensively; she profiles as a useful fit for a team that values adaptability, depth, and a competitor who can handle multiple jobs.[1][3]
