Vince Libretto brings power, versatility, and a grinder’s edge to Lafayette’s lineup
In the 2026 season, Lafayette catcher Vince Libretto has been more of a depth bat than a headline stat-stuffer, but his profile still pops: he’s a 6-foot-2, right-handed catcher who arrived with a strong prep résumé as a four-year starter, Middlesex Conference MVP, and all-conference performer[4][5]. At Lafayette in 2026, he’s hit .125 with 2 hits and 1 RBI across 7 games, while showing enough contact skills and experience to keep earning looks behind the plate[1][3]. If you value toughness, familiarity with winning baseball, and a catcher who can grow into more offense, he’s worth a closer look.
