Tyson Davis brings veteran slot savvy to Virginia’s receiver room
In the 2025 season at Central Michigan, Tyson Davis posted 25 catches for 323 yards and 2 touchdowns after missing the entire 2024 season with a preseason injury, and Virginia brought him in as a sixth-year transfer to add mature, dependable inside-receiver production. He’s a compact 5-foot-10 target with proven yards-after-catch flashes, a career total of 830 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns, and a reputation as a sturdy role player who can help a passing game that wants reliable separators, not just highlight-reel chaos.
