Zach White brings defensive value and flashes of gap power behind the plate for ULM
In the 2025 season, UL Monroe freshman catcher Zach White played in 19 games and made nine starts, hitting .188 with five RBIs, six hits, and three doubles, while handling the staff cleanly with a perfect fielding percentage and throwing out 2 of 8 basestealers. He looks like a contact-oriented, hard-nosed backstop with some extra-base ability, and his multi-hit games suggest more offensive upside than the raw line shows. The fit is better if you want defense, reliability, and developmental upside at catcher rather than an immediate middle-of-the-order bat.[2][1]
