Trent Adelman is VCU’s gritty on-base sparkplug with pop, speed, and a glove that travels
In the 2026 season, Trent Adelman emerged as a high-contact, high-impact bat for VCU, hitting .261 with a .374 on-base percentage, 55 hits, 43 RBI, 79 total bases, 22 walks, and 13 stolen bases in 63 games/starts. He also flashed real run-producing juice with multi-hit, multi-RBI games against quality opponents, including Virginia, and showed defensive versatility across the infield and outfield. The separator: he gets on base, runs the bases aggressively, and brings steady, low-drama consistency—exactly the kind of versatile, competitive player a winning lineup loves.
