Jackson Barker is ECU’s steady, two-way glue linebacker with a bigger role waiting
In the 2025 season, Jackson Barker showed why East Carolina trusts him: he played all 13 games, logged 21 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and a sack, while also being praised for heavy special-teams value and a strong PFF run-defense grade. He’s a physical 6-foot-2, 230-pound fifth-year linebacker who brings toughness, reliability, and a high-motor, team-first profile rather than flash. That makes him a smart fit for a defense needing dependable snaps, discipline, and a player who can grind out production while doing the dirty work.
