In the 2024-25 season, Mike Mitchell Jr. gave Minnesota a grown-man combo guard presence: 8.6 points, 2.5 assists and a team-best 50 made threes while starting 24 of 25 games, though he also missed seven games with injury. He’s valuable because he spaces the floor, can run offense in stretches, and brings experience after topping 1,000 career points; the tradeoff is that his efficiency dipped, so he fits best with a team that wants a veteran guard who can stretch defenses and keep the ball moving rather than carry a heavy usage load.
