A Disciplined Sophomore Infielder with Academic Excellence and Defensive Reliability
Sondra Berry, a sophomore infielder for Coppin State Eagles, stands out not just for her .167 batting average in the 2026 season but for her unwavering discipline, defensive consistency (.966 fielding percentage), and academic excellence as a MEAC Commissioner's All-Academic Team member. While her offensive stats are modest, her intensity, dedication, and ability to make key plays—like her 2-RBI double against Norfolk State—show she’s a high-integrity player who thrives under pressure. She’s injury-free, highly coachable, and brings a strong personality rooted in strength and focus. For teams valuing reliability, leadership, and long-term development over flashy stats, Berry is an excellent fit.
