Gabe Pitts brings speed, defense, and reliable contact to CCSU's outfield
In the 2026 season, Gabe Pitts has been a steady everyday center fielder for Central Connecticut, pairing plus speed and range with dependable contact skills and aggressive baserunning. He posted a .239 average with a .318 on-base percentage across 37 games, and a weekly breakout earned him NEC Player of the Week honors after a .625 stretch with nine runs, seven RBIs, and four stolen bases. Beyond the stat line, his lockdown center-field defense and intensity make him the kind of fit a staff can trust in the middle of the diamond.
