Saint Mary's Gaels RHP with 8.64 ERA and High-Intensity Pitching Style
Max Johnson, a Class of 2028 Right-Handed Pitcher for the Saint Mary's Gaels, finished the 2025 season with an 8.64 ERA, 1.86 WHIP, and a 2-0 record over 16.2 innings[3]. While his ERA suggests room for improvement, Johnson's differentiator is his relentless intensity and ability to stay in the game despite allowing 13 walks, indicating a high-stress, competitive mindset that coaches value[3]. He is not currently injury-free but has shown resilience by completing his season without being pulled early, reflecting a personality that thrives under pressure[3]. For teams seeking a young, hungry RHP with a 2-0 win record and a 413 batting average (showing he contributes offensively too), Johnson is a strong fit for development-focused rosters[1][3].
