Nicola Akele brings veteran wing size, rebounding grit, and low-drama reliability
Nicola Akele is a 6-foot-7 forward whose Rhode Island résumé shows the kind of glue-guy value coaches love: in the 2017-18 season, he gave the Rams efficient minutes, solid board work, and enough shooting touch to keep defenses honest. He wasn’t a volume scorer, but he was versatile, physical, and steady—more “do the right thing” than highlight-reel merchant. That matters if your team needs a smart, experienced forward who can defend, rebound, and fit into a system without needing the ball to be useful.
