Projectable arm with strikeout flashes, but still searching for consistency
Tims is a 6-3 right-hander with a starter’s build and real intrigue because of his high-school dominance—0.97 ERA, 70 strikeouts, and just six walks in 72 innings—but his first college season was uneven, as he went 1-5 with a 5.88 ERA across 41.1 innings in 2025. Washington used him in 13 appearances and 11 starts, and he has not yet appeared in 2026, so the appeal is less “finished product” and more upside: a long, controllable arm who can miss bats if the command tightens up.
