Denae Carter is Villanova’s glue-and-guts forward
After returning from an ACL setback, Denae Carter emerged in the 2024-25 season as a reliable two-way force for Villanova, starting all 35 games and leading the team with 6.5 rebounds per game while adding 8.6 points, 50 assists, 43 blocks and 33 steals. She brings toughness, rim protection, and high-effort rebounding, plus the kind of physical, winning-the-possession style coaches love. Her recent surge included a career-high 21 points on 8-of-9 shooting against No. 1 UConn in the 2025-26 season, a nice clue that she can pop offensively when needed.
