ETSU WR Matthew Manning: Promising frame, but still an untested piece of the Bucs’ passing game
In the 2025 season, Matthew Manning was still mostly a mystery box for ETSU: the 6-foot-1, 180-pound redshirt freshman did not appear in any games, and in 2024 he logged only one appearance in a 61-0 win over UVA Wise.[1][2] The upside is obvious enough for a rostered receiver with his size and a fresh developmental runway, but there isn’t public stat-leader production yet to sell you on him as a proven weekly impact player.[1][3] If a team wants a low-mileage WR with upside, he’s interesting; if it needs instant production, the evidence is not there yet.[1][3]
