Esmee Ames brings veteran grit and swing-and-miss stuff to Troy’s circle
In the 2026 season, Troy senior pitcher Esmee Ames has been a reliable, high-leverage arm, highlighted by a 5-2 record and a clutch walk-off win over ULM where she worked out of trouble in extras. She’s shown bat-missing upside in spots, including a 6-strikeout outing against Georgia Southern, and her profile suggests a steady, competitive pitcher who can handle pressure moments. Troy’s own coverage and her press-conference presence point to a composed, team-first leader who elevates the dugout energy—useful if you want a poise-heavy pitcher who can compete in big innings rather than just rack up numbers.
