Ty Banco brings compact, road-grader toughness to Pitt’s offensive line
In the 2026 season, Ty Banco is a redshirt junior offensive lineman for Pittsburgh at 6-1, 320-325 pounds, and his profile screams leverage, grit, and versatility more than flash. He transferred to Pitt in June 2025 from Texas A&M as a walk-on and appeared in one game in 2025, so he’s still more of a developmental depth piece than a proven starter. What makes him interesting is the local-rooted, tough-nosed fit: a sturdy interior lineman with a power build who can compete for a bigger role if his hands, pad level, and consistency keep trending up.
