Scheppler brings switch-hit utility value and timely pop for SJSU
Anthony Scheppler is a versatile San José State utility bat who already delivered a walk-off RBI double in the 2026 season and flashed first-career power with a two-run homer, giving the Spartans a clutch, multi-role piece with some juice in the bat. His value goes beyond the box score: the roster lists him as a 6-foot-1, 215-pound sophomore who has handled multiple infield spots cleanly, and his background plus early-season impact suggest a player who can help in pressure moments and fit a team needing flexibility, contact, and toughness.
