Mason Denaburg brings pro-level arm talent to UCF’s special teams, but is still a work in progress as a college kicker/punter
In the 2026 season, Denaburg is listed as an active UCF kicker/punter, but available stat logs show no meaningful college kicking production yet; he played in one game in 2025 as a holder on an extra point against North Carolina A&T. The big draw is his unusual background: a former first-round MLB pitcher with a strong athletic profile at 6-foot-4 and about 225 pounds, plus a reputation for toughness after battling injuries in baseball. UCF appears to value his upside and versatility more than immediate finished-product reliability.
