Taison Miller is a speed-first freshman spark for CSUB
In the 2026 season, Taison Miller has shown he can change a game with speed and contact hitting, including a 2-for-4, two-run outing against Fresno State and a 4-for-5 finish in conference play at Irvine. CSUB’s staff specifically praised him as a left-handed outfielder who can “really impact the game with his speed,” and that summer performance against college competition helped earn his roster spot. At 5-foot-8, he profiles as an energy player: quick, aggressive, and disruptive on the bases—an appealing fit for a team that wants athleticism and pressure, not just raw power.
