CJ Hyland’s shot-making and upside travel well
Hyland is a 6-1 guard who showed real efficiency in the 2025-26 season at Western Carolina, averaging 6.2 points in 14.5 minutes while hitting 42.1% from three and 81.6% at the line. He’s more than a spacer, though: he also added 1.2 assists, 1.2 rebounds and 11 steals in 20 games, and his biggest pop came in bursts like a 19-point outburst against Virginia-Lynchburg. The fit question is simple—if a team wants a steady, low-drama combo guard who can defend a bit, make open threes, and give honest minutes, Hyland is very much in the conversation.
