Formaneck brings proven arm talent and low-ERA track record to St. Thomas
Ezra Formaneck is a right-handed pitcher whose profile is built on a live fastball, a usable changeup with fade, and the kind of athletic frame that suggests more strength is coming. Prep Baseball has him at a 2023 class profile with a max fastball of 89.6 mph, while St. Thomas notes that he “recorded the lowest ERA in Minnesota as a sophomore,” and his college bio credits him with a 14-6 career record and 2.12 ERA. He looks like a competitive, strike-throwing fit for a staff that values upside and consistency.
