Slade McCloud is a do-it-all table-setter with pop, speed, and big-moment edge
In the 2026 season, Slade McCloud has been one of Tarleton State’s most complete bats, hitting .343 with 50 runs, 80 hits, 16 doubles, 7 triples, 6 home runs, 57 RBI, and 8 stolen bases while starting every game. He was a 2025 All-WAC First Team pick after leading the Texans in batting average (.358) and stealing 20 bases, and he’s drawn national preseason attention as a top mid-major infielder. He looks like a gritty, high-IQ, every-day player who brings impact offense, versatility, and a proven knack for producing in pressure spots.
