Lorcan Lee’s arm is a live project for UMass with upside
In the 2026 season, UMass freshman RHP Lorcan Lee has shown the kind of stuff that can play: a 6-foot-3 frame, a downhill delivery, and a fastball that scouting notes have pegged up to 89 mph with late life, plus a breaking ball and changeup mix that suggests starter traits. He also arrives with a real high-school track record, including 62 strikeouts in 35 innings as a senior at Dexter Southfield. The caution flag is command and consistency—his early college outings have been hit hard—but the raw ingredients say he’s a developmental arm worth betting on.
