D.J. Griggs brings compact guard play and LIU backcourt depth
D.J. Griggs is a **5'10" point guard** whose value is tied to quick decision-making, ball security, and fitting into a guard-driven LIU rotation rather than headline-grabbing volume scoring.[5] Team stats show LIU has leaned on multiple backcourt contributors in 2025-26, which suggests Griggs is part of a system that rewards pace, toughness, and making the simple play well.[1][6] At his best, he looks like a good fit for a staff that wants a reliable, low-ego guard who can stabilize possessions and complement more prominent scorers.[1][6]
